Maine Lumberjacks           185
11      Bar Harbor feels a pride dear friends,
In the Redeemer's church it's true, Where rich and poor can kneel in prayer,
And praise God's Name so true; And to the one who labored hard
With words and works divine We honor him that manly priest,
Our father, James O'Brien.
12      We'll entwine a wreath of evergreen
And in the center place a name, Its our beloved Mrs. Morris K. Jessup,
Whose noble deeds are known through Maine; Her charity was unbounding,
Her heart was ever just and true, Her spirit's pierced that silent vale,
And bade her loving friends adieu.
13      I wish I could remember all,
And speak their names to you, But time and space will not allow
What I would wish to do; And when the summer days have waned
And to your homes returned again, May pleasant memories bring to you
Of happy hours way down in Maine.
